Tissue testing is a useful tool in determining proper micro-nutrient uptake in the plants at different stages of growth.
When should you test?
– Corn: V4-V6, V9-V11, VT-R1 & R2-R4
– Soybeans: V3-V5, R1-R2 & R3-R4
What nutrients are tested?
– N, P, K and micros; ZN, B, S, Mn, Cu &Fe
Why?
– Data can’t be accomplished through soil tests or yield measuring.
